CHECK OUT MY WORK
about me
My love for illustration started when I was a young child. Traditional hand drawn and painted images, which are full of narrative, fun and imagination, inspire my practice. As such, I was drawn into the mystical world of Brian Froud's and Alan Lee’s artistic creativity, through their book ‘Faeries’ (1880), and the book ‘Gnomes’ (1976) illustrated by Rien Pootvliet. I am also inspired by classic drawings, as illustrated by Raymond Briggs in, ‘The Snowman’ (1978).
After completing my degree in Fine Art, Painting at the Exeter School of Art, I went on to teach painting, drawing and printmaking. It wasn’t until I had had my children that I decided to embark on my life’s ambition to become an illustrator.

All of my work is hand drawn using water colour and mixed media to create colourful nostalgic art works. I have had the pleasure of working collaboratively with some fantastic authors bring their stories to life, through my drawing. I am the co owner and illustrator of the Farmer Christmas books; Tractor Travels (2018) and Farmer Christmas (2017).
I am currently illustrating ‘Tupper the Tractor’ (due to be published in the fall of 2020), and, Harry the Hippo (due to be published in the fall of 2019), ‘Flora and Flop’ (published in 2017),
‘The Mc Raggie Twins (2017), and Gorden’s Tram (published in 2013).
